Once a customer completes their payment, their Quote automatically becomes an Order. From there, Appliance.io guides you through a structured delivery workflow designed to keep inventory, scheduling, and delivery tracking clear and organized.
To successfully deliver an item, the order moves through five delivery statuses β each with a specific purpose. This guide walks you through every step so you always know whatβs happening and what to do next.
π Accessing Delivery Statuses
Youβll manage delivery statuses directly from the Order page. After payment:- Open the Order
- Locate the item under the delivery section
- Click the status icon to begin moving it through the delivery workflow
π¦ Step 1: Check Stock
The first status is Check Stock. In the popup:- Select which Inventory location the item will be delivered from
- Reserve β Use this if the inventory has enough stock β The status updates to In Warehouse & Reserved
- Request β Use this if the item is out of stock and needs to be ordered in the Purchase Order
π Step 2: Ordered β ETA or PO
After the item is ordered from inventory, the status changes to Ordered β ETA or PO. In this popup, you can view:- The Estimated Availability or Warehouse Arrival Date
- The Quantity ordered for this order
- The itemβs Place in Queue
π¬ Step 3: In Warehouse & Reserved
When the item arrives β or if it was already reserved β the status updates to In Warehouse & Reserved. In this popup, youβll enter key delivery details:- Serial Number β Helps prevent mix-ups with similar items
- Delivery Method β How the item will be delivered
- Delivery Status β Open, Scheduled, In-Transit, or Delivered
- Delivery Date β The planned delivery date
π Understanding Delivery Statuses
Each delivery status plays a specific role:- Open β Item is on standby and can still be edited
- Scheduled β Delivery is confirmed for a specific date
- In-Transit β Item is on the way to the customer
- Delivered β Item has arrived at the customerβs location
πΊοΈ Scheduling & Routing
When an item is scheduled:- The In Warehouse & Reserved icon displays the delivery method abbreviation
- The order is now ready to be assigned to a truck
π Step 4: In-Transit
When the truck leaves:- Update the status to In-Transit
- Manually, or
- Automatically by scanning out the inventory
- Send a Delivery Tracking Link to the customer so they can follow the truck in real time
β Step 5: Delivered
The final status is Delivered. This is usually completed automatically by the driver through the Driver App, but it can also be updated manually if needed. In the Delivered popup, you can:- Download or print the Invoice
- View pre- and post-installation photos uploaded by the driver
