The Customer Portal in Appliance.io is designed to make the post-sale experience smooth, transparent, and stress-free — for both you and your customers. It gives customers direct access to their order details without logging in or entering an order number.
Through the Customer Portal, customers can securely make payments, review their order summary, schedule deliveries, and track deliveries in real time. Everything happens in one simple, guided flow that keeps customers informed from payment to delivery completion.
📍 Accessing the Customer Portal
To send a Customer Portal link, start from the Quote page. Below the Salesperson section, you’ll find the Customer Portal area. From here, you can control how the customer pays and how the Portal is shared. First, choose the payment option:- Full Payment
- 50% Down
- Custom Amount
- Choose the recipient email
- Add CCs if needed
- Edit the subject line
- Customize the message body
- Removing the model number
- Hiding the pay link
- Excluding fulfillment or protection plan details
🧭 Navigating the Customer Portal
From the customer’s perspective, the Portal is organized into four simple steps:- Review Add-Ons
- Payment
- Delivery Scheduling
- Delivery Tracking
🧩 Step 1: Review Add-Ons
In the Review Add-Ons step, customers can review any add-ons included in their quote and customize their protection plan if available. This step clearly shows:- Selected add-ons
- Protection plan options
- Balance due
💳 Step 2: Payment
Next is Payment. Customers can securely complete payment using one of the following options:- Apple Pay
- Credit Cards
- Affirm
- Klarna
📆 Step 3: Delivery Scheduling
After payment, customers move to Delivery Scheduling. At this stage:- The Review Add-Ons step is removed since the quote is already paid
- Customers select a delivery date that works best for them
🚚 Step 4: Delivery Tracking
Once the order is routed, the Portal automatically transitions to Delivery Tracking. Here, customers can track their delivery in real time, including:- Estimated arrival time
- Delivery information
- Driver details
- Assigned salesperson
- Product details
