The Blog Post Settings feature in Appliance.io lets you set up, manage, and personalize your blog page effortlessly. From enabling your blog on the website to customizing sections, managing published and draft posts, and organizing archives, this tool gives you full control to build an engaging and professional blog space.
π Accessing Blog Post Settings
From the sidebar, click Settings at the bottom left corner. Scroll down to Website Settings and select Blog Post. To make your blog visible on your website, toggle Display Blog Page on Website to YES. A confirmation pop-up will appear β click Yes, Enable. Once you see the success notification at the top right corner, your blog page is now active.βοΈ Customizing Blog Settings
Click on Blog Settings to open the customization pop-up. Hereβs what you can adjust:- Website Display β Add your Blog Section Title and Description to set the tone of your blog.
- Featured Posts β Toggle this on to highlight up to 10 posts and drag them to rearrange the display order.
- Categories & Filtering β Enable this to manage blog categories β add, edit, or delete as needed.
- Share Blog Post Button β Turn this on to allow readers to share your posts directly.
π° Blog Tabs: Published, Draft, and Archived
Your blog posts are organized into three tabs: Published, Draft, and Archived.π’ Published Tab
This tab displays all live posts. Use filters like Search, Date, and Author to find articles quickly. Click Reset Filter to clear your search. The post list includes five columns:- Title,
- Author,
- Published Date,
- Featured Post, and
- Actions.
- Edit Post,
- Preview,
- Revert to Draft, or
- Move to Archive.
βοΈ Draft Tab
To create a new draft, click Add New Blog Post. On the editor page, fill out these key fields:- Post Title, Subtitle, Author, and Category
- URL Slug (auto-generated but editable)
- Thumbnail Image and Alternative Text
- Content of the article
- SEO Settings β Add a Meta Title, Meta Description, and set it as a Featured Post if needed.
- Edit,
- Publish,
- Preview, or
- Move to Archive.
