The Website Onboarding process in Appliance.io walks you through every step of setting up your online store — from branding and product setup to publishing your custom domain. It’s designed to help you create a polished, conversion-ready website that reflects your brand and makes selling appliances online simple, fast, and efficient.

📍 Accessing Website Onboarding

To begin, open the sidebar and click Settings. Scroll down to find the Website Settings section. If you don’t see it yet, that means your website hasn’t been created — no problem! Just click Create My Website to start building your online platform. At the top-right, you’ll find three key buttons:
  • Save – Keep your progress anytime.
  • Preview – Instantly see how your website looks.
  • Publish – Unlock this after finishing all steps to make your site live.
There are six main steps in the website setup process:
  1. Appliance Condition
  2. Product Setup
  3. Branding
  4. Content
  5. Review
  6. Domain Setup
Each step includes a customization panel on the left and a Live Preview on the right, so you can see your changes in real time. You can also preview your Home, About Us, Brands, and Contact Us pages — switching between desktop and mobile views anytime.

🧩 Step 1: Appliance Condition

This step helps you define your product offering and target audience. Choose one of the following:
  • New Appliances – For brand-new items with full manufacturer warranty. Perfect for showcasing detailed specs and premium offers.
  • Non-New Appliances – For floor models, open-box, demo, or used units with limited warranties. Select Scratch and Dent or Used options to highlight condition details and value-based pricing.
  • Mixed Condition – A combination of new and non-new products, allowing you to display condition tags and flexible warranty or return policies.
Once selected, click Continue to move on.

🛒 Step 2: Product Setup

Next, choose the product categories you want to display on your website. All categories are enabled by default, but you can toggle them off if needed. Available categories include:
  • Refrigeration
  • Washers & Dryers
  • Cooking
  • Dishwashers
  • Outdoor
  • Other
Click Continue when you’re ready to proceed.

🎨 Step 3: Branding

Here’s where your website takes on your store’s identity. You’ll upload your Website Logo and Favicon, then select your Primary Brand Color — used for buttons, links, and accents across the site. Once your brand design feels just right, click Continue.

✏️ Step 4: Content Customization

Now it’s time to personalize your website content. You’ll be working with four key sections:
  1. Hero Section – Add your main headline, up to three subtitles, and your call-to-action button text and color.
  2. About Us – Tell your story using the provided editable template.
  3. Brands – Highlight the appliance brands you carry.
  4. Contact Us – Enter your phone number, email, and submission email for customer inquiries. This will also appear in your website’s footer.
All fields can be updated later anytime. Once done, click Continue.

🔍 Step 5: Review

Before publishing, you’ll see a Setup Summary showing key details:
  • Setup Method
  • Appliance Condition
  • Primary Brand Color
  • E-Commerce Salesperson
  • Active Refurbished Condition
  • Product Categories
You’ll also see the AIO Pay Status section. To make your website live, activate AIO Pay — verification usually takes 3–12 hours. If you’re only testing, select Bypass for Demo to continue building without activating payments. Once you’ve reviewed everything, click Continue.

🌐 Step 6: Domain Setup

The final step is choosing your website domain. You can:
  1. Use your own custom domain (e.g., mystore.com), or
  2. Use a free Appliance.io subdomain (e.g., mystore.applianceio.com).
Type your preferred subdomain and click Check Availability. Then select Pay Monthly Subscription or Bypass for Demo. When ready, hit Publish — and just like that, your website goes live! You’ll see a confirmation pop-up with your new URL. Click View Your Website to open it immediately.
