The Driver App in Appliance.io is a browser-based delivery tool that guides drivers through their entire route step by step. It helps drivers track stops, manage installations, capture confirmations, and complete deliveries with full visibility. Because it runs through a public link, drivers don’t need to install anything — making it fast, flexible, and easy to deploy across your team. Once a route is saved, drivers automatically receive an email with their assigned stops. Anyone with the driver link can access the live route view, even if they don’t have permission to access the routing page inside Appliance.io.

📍 Accessing the Driver App

After creating and saving a route:
  • Drivers automatically receive their route email
  • You can copy the Driver Link directly from the routing page
  • Paste the link into any browser to view the live driver interface
At the top of the Driver App, drivers see their daily summary under Today’s Activity, including:
  • Total stops
  • Total appliances
  • Estimated distance
  • Estimated total time
Below that, drivers see:
  • Install summary (what appliances are being installed)
  • Assigned truck for the day
  • A fully mapped route with labeled stops in order

🧩 Understanding Delivery Stops

Each stop tile mirrors what dispatch sees on the routing page. Drivers can quickly review:
  • Customer name
  • Order number
  • Driving time estimate
  • Delivery time window
  • Address
  • Fulfillment type
💡Note: If the driver hasn’t started the stop after the delivery estimate, a Behind Schedule banner appears. Drivers can tap View Stop Details to open:
  • Customer information
  • Salesperson details
  • Delivery notes
  • Full order summary

🚚 Starting the Route

When ready, drivers tap Start Route. If items haven’t been scanned out, a warning pop-up appears. Drivers can’t proceed with the delivery before all items are scanned out. To fix scan issues:
  • Go to the Deliveries page
  • Complete the truck scan-out
  • Return and start the route
💡Note: You can disable scan-out requirements in Delivery & Install Automation Settings, but drivers must manually add serial numbers inside the Driver App. Once confirmed, tap Yes, Start to officially begin.

📍 Heading to the First Stop

To begin the first delivery:
  • Tap I Am On My Way
If notifications are enabled, the customer is alerted immediately. The order status changes to In-Transit. Drivers can use:
  • Navigation → Opens Google Maps
  • Three-dot menu → Damage Waiver, Instant Home Visit, or Reschedule

📦 Completing a Delivery

Upon arrival:
  • Tap Start Delivery
  • Status changes to In Progress
Drivers must:
  • Upload pre-install photos
  • Upload post-install photos
  • Add Driver Notes if needed
Next, the customer signs the Delivery Confirmation. After signing:
  • Tap Confirm
  • A Signed banner verifies completion
Tap Next Stop to continue. The order status updates to Delivered.

🏁 Finishing the Route

After completing all stops:
  • Return to the warehouse
  • Tap Finish Route
  • Select Yes, Finish to confirm
The Driver App displays a full route summary showing every completed stop.
