The Vendor Ranking Report in Appliance.io helps you evaluate vendor and brand performance with precision. By grouping vendors and their brands, it provides accurate reporting on sales, margins, and profits — making it easier to spot trends, track performance, and make smarter, data-driven decisions.

📍 Accessing the Report

  • From the sidebar, click Reports
  • Select Vendor Ranking Report
Inside, you’ll find two tabs:
  • By Vendor
  • By Brand

⚙️ By Vendor Filters

When viewing the By Vendor tab, you can fine-tune your report using these filters:
  • Date Comparison → Choose Last 30 Days, This Month, Q1–Q4, or All Time. You can compare against the previous Month, Quarter, Year, or select No Comparison.
  • Vendor Filter → Displays all vendor groups available for your selected date range.
  • Condition Filter → Defaults to “Select All.”
  • Reset Filter → Clears all applied filters and returns to the default view.
📤 Need to share the data? Click Export to download the report in PDF, Excel, or CSV format. (The export will reflect any filters you’ve applied.)

🔍 Expand vs. Collapse All

You can switch between two report views:
  • Expand → Shows vendor totals only (no brand details).
  • Collapse All → Drills down to show each vendor with their associated brands.
No matter which view you use, the data columns remain the same:
  • Sales
  • Quantity
  • Profit
  • Profit Margin
  • Change in Sales
  • Change in Quantity
  • Change in Profit
  • Change in Profit Margin
The only difference is the first column: Vendors in Expand, or Brands in Collapse All.

🏷️ By Brand Tab

The By Brand tab works the same way as By Vendor:
  • Same filters
  • Same export options
  • Same data columns
The only change? It lists brands directly, without grouping them under vendors.
